CHRISTOPHER NEVE
FOR MAYOR OF WEDDINGTON, NC

MEET CHRISTOPHER
I was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina. As a teenager, I grew through my responsibilities as a boy scout and earned the rank of Eagle. Being involved in church allowed my leadership skills to continue to expand and develop. I am a Christian and have strong beliefs and values that guide my decisions.
Starting my professional career, I led a local manufacturing company as its Chief Operating Officer. Production and procurement processes were improved after conducting a detailed cost analysis. Efficient use of time and resources led to a higher quality product and increased sales. After successfully serving in that role and seeing the business grow, I transitioned and moved to Chile as a missionary.
During my time in Chile, I assisted with the construction of a new church building and engaged local children in community activities and English classes. While there, I met Daniela who was serving as the youth leader. Because of our shared goals and values, we became best friends and decided to marry. Shortly after, we moved to North Carolina to start our life together.

After a couple of years, I had a growing desire to be involved in my community in a more impactful and tangible way. Rising crime was hurting those around me. I decided to start a career in law enforcement.
I have now served as a law enforcement officer for more than nine years. Throughout this time, positive and lasting change has been made in the communities I serve. I taught and helped youth grow to become leaders while working in the North Carolina public school system as a School Resource Officer. This opportunity allowed me to work closely with parents as well as teens. I answered emergency calls on patrol, oversaw courtroom operations, served civil processes, and worked as an investigator. My area of focus for advanced training is interviewing and detecting deception through the interpretation of speech, written text, and body language.
In addition to the leadership and growth experienced throughout my private sector and public service careers, I have volunteered in various areas to improve the lives of others. For ten years, I was on a team that led a weekly prison Bible study. It was a joy to see mens' lives transformed through support, encouragement, and advanced teaching. Daniela and I enjoy teaching personal finance and have led many in our community to grow and better their future. It was an honor to be nominated and to serve on my bank's advisory board. In addition to this, my wife and I serve as volunteer chaplains and are involved in our church.
I am grateful for the opportunities and encouragement I have had throughout my life to be able to serve others as a trusted leader.
Upon my return, I worked with a company that hired and placed healthcare specialists in various facilities across the country. In this role, recognition was given for my ability to meet deadlines while being committed to hiring qualified professionals.
