I want to sincerely thank each resident of Weddington who supported the campaign over the past few months. Thank you to those who provided feedback and encouragement along the way. I was honored to have the opportunity to form new relationships and continue those that were previously established. I am grateful to live among so many wonderful neighbors and friends.
Throughout the campaign, I set out to be an example of integrity in politics that I, along with many others, want to see. I am far from perfect and relied on God for the strength and wisdom to know how to navigate each unique challenge along the way.
Unfortunately, a campaign that should have been run on the merits and accomplishments of the past two years, was one of lies and slander toward the opponent. These lies were spread to cast doubt about my platform, personal integrity, and public service experience.
I forgive our mayor for the dishonest behavior I witnessed and for degrading me and my family’s reputation.
I am greatly concerned about the future of our town. We have a great need for more residents to step up and get involved. I believe we will see in short order the need for elected officials who will represent the residents and not those who succumb to the final word and agenda of the large donor and developer who purchased their seat.
I thank each voter for your encouraging words and support that my family and I received from so many of you. There were many we didn’t personally hear from, but your support was evident by the final vote count.
I will continue to be involved and please reach out to me any time as we work to improve our town. The work wasn’t in vain and I look forward to seeing you around.
Thank you!

Christopher…..your extension of forgiveness is applauded, and scriptural….you set the right example by doing so.
